Order Manager
Tool for partners already active on iFood to operate their stores during business hours. In it, partners can receive orders, confirm them and notify customers when orders leave for delivery. To change store settings and generate reports, it's necessary to use the Partner Portal.
Heartbeat
Active connection signal with the platform.
Localizer
Temporary 8-digit code that serves to identify a consumer contact. This number is used by the 0800 service made available for restaurants and delivery drivers to call consumers. For privacy reasons, iFood cannot expose its customers' phone numbers. If the partner needs to get in touch, they can do so through the chat available in the app or call a phone number (0800) informed in the order and with the localizer number we identify the consumer and complete the call.
Merchant
Merchant is the establishment (store) that offers dishes/products on the iFood platform. It can be a restaurant, market, pharmacy, pet shop among other types of commercial establishments.
Modules
Scopes or domains of the APIs. Refers to which data will be used by the application and to which permissions will be requested.
PDV
Point of Sale (PDV) or Point Of Sales (POS) is the store management system/application.
PLACED
Status of the newly created order.
Polling
Mechanism used by the client to receive events from the server. The polling request is a command made to obtain recent events related to orders placed on iFood. This command should be done periodically so that new events are identified and received. To confirm receipt of an event received in polling, an acknowledgment must be made.
Partner Portal
Tool in which partners can manage their stores outside the hot moment, where they are not receiving orders. In it, the partner can manage promotions, configure scheduled breaks, hire services, check their finances. To manage orders, it's necessary to use the Order Manager

Return route
The Return route is a process that allows the return of canceled orders to the partner store after dispatch.
On demand
On demand is a service offered by iFood that allows partners to request specific deliveries for their orders. This service can be used both for orders originated in the iFood app (On Platform) and for those received outside the app (Off Platform), such as by phone or social networks.

Local pickup mode.
Access token
Masked string that identifies an API user. Used to verify if the user is logged in and authorized to use that resource. It is generated in the authentication API and has a validity time until it needs to be updated.
Voucher
Discount coupon used as a benefit offered by iFood.
